The smart motor is a servo motor with an integrated controller. Not only does it save space due to its driver integration, but it also reduces the processing load on the host PLC. Complex motor control can be handled by the controller within the motor, simplifying the program. Additionally, it is equipped with onboard I/O, allowing limit switches to be directly integrated into the motor, enabling faster operation stops than going through the network.
